Beneficiaries

What is Rotary and who are some of the beneficiaries of this festival?

Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million businesses, professionals and community leaders. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world. There are over 32,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races and creeds. As signified by the motto “Service Above Self”, Rotary’s main objective is service – in the community, in the workplace and throughout the world.

Each year, our Rotarian-led community service committee receives applications from various charities for funding. The monies are distributed to the charities that are most in need of our help. Listed below are just some of the charities that have benefited in recent years from both monetary support and personal involvement from the Flower Mound Rotary Club.

Thanks to the generous contributions from the Flower Mound Rotary, Youth and Family Counseling has been able to offer scholarships for families that otherwise could not afford therapy. With the Rotary’s help, Youth and Family Counseling provided over 80 sessions of counseling to low income residents in Denton County during 2015.
